E-Liquid

Vape E-Liquid

With an ever expanding vape/e-cigarette industry, it can be easy to get lost in the sea of eLiquid flavours, types and strengths. Also referred to as e juice, e-juice and vape juice refers to the liquid that you put into the vape to create the vapour. The liquid is generally made up of five ingredients: water, flavouring, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine and nicotine (unless you opt for the 0% nicotine eLiquid).

Propylene glycol is a liquid that is used in many foods and is used to spread the flavour of the vape evenly through the vape juice.

Vegetable Glycerine is derived from vegetable oil and is use to give more body to the vape and give thickness to the vapour.

Best eLiquid Flavour?

If you’re new to vaping then we would recommend trying out different types of flavours to see what you like best. With so many choices available, you’re bound to settle on a few favourites.

Choosing an E-Liquid Nicotine Strength

You will find that a lot of vape liquids come with varying nicotine strengths and if you’re new to vaping it can be like a minefield trying to figure out what vape to buy and what liquid. The liquids generally come in 0mg, 3mg, 6mg and 12mg. The zero mg juice is no nicotine liquid which can be ideal for non smokers who are looking to vape or ex smokers who are looking to keep their cravings at bay. The 6mg nicotine is good for those of you who want more of a nicotine hit but some vapers can find that this does provide a strong throat hit.

New to vaping, we would recommend the 3mg e-liquid as this can be your best bet. If you then find that the 3mg eJuice isn’t hitting the spot, you can always bump up to 6mg.

Nicotine Salts vs Vape Juice: What are Nicotine Salts?

Often referred to as nic salts, these are a very strong vape juice and are designed to work in pod vapes. Nic salts produce less vapour that the higher wattage (sub-ohm) devices should only be used in lower wattage devices. Using these in a higher wattage vape will result in a harsh throat hit and can put off new vapers.

What are PG/VG levels in Vape Juice?

You might have noticed that every vape juice has a PG/VG ratio so you know what to expect from your vape juice. If you are looking for a smooth vape experience and massive clouds, then go for a higher VG ratio. If you want a strong throat hit, then pick an e-liquid with a higher PG.
